Hanged Man Emerald Tolemac

This young man has fallen from the pure light of day (clarity) and now hangs in the depths of the forest, a place of both light and shadow as represented by the shafts of light piercing the darkness of the woods. Symbolically, darkness holds secret thoughts and actions that can pave the way into a living hell, or a situation that feels like hell on earth. Even so, atonement is possible, as we shall see. The Hermit Emerald Tolemac

The Hermit shines his light to illuminate the path of the questioner. The star inside the lantern is a Solomon’s seal, which symbolises wisdom. Legend has it that this seal was engraved in a ring worn by King Solomon, and it gave him the power to command demons. The fact that the lantern contains this seal means two things. The Hermit can offer mastery over the darker forces of human nature. He can also offer us perception of the astral entities that exist in dimensions around us, which fight continuously to hinder, harm and create havoc around us. Continue Reading

The Chariot Emerald Tolemac Tarot

The Chariot Emerald Tolemac represents the questioner venturing forth. You are being called to a quest. Everything is looking up, and there is a sense that you have vanquished a certain amount of your inner demons to prepare for this moment of emergence. There will be a lot to keep in mind on this journey, though. The Chariot is all about balancing the opposing forces that you encounter along the way. Continue Reading

The Heirophant Emerald Tolemac

The Emperor’s youth and attractiveness show his masculine virility; he is a strong character who knows how to get things done. This card represents King Arthur of Camelot. His crown shows his authority and sovereignty. Fourth card in the major arcana, he balances the feminine power of the Empress by representing male ability, although the stream flowing behind him hearkens back to her more free-flowing influence. The decisive will of the Emperor serves to guide the questioner in a definite direction on their path. Continue Reading

The Emerald Tolemac Magician

Here we see Merlin the Magician with his right arm lifted and his hand holding a wand (earth) pointing to the sky (air) and creating the sign of Infinity (timelessness) in the air above him with the wand. The left arm is essentially hanging at his side (earth), the forearm lifted enough to allow the hand to form the letter “M” that we see in sign language when deaf people communicate. This simply reinforces the M needed for the Mastery that is required when one fuses their base self with their higher self and becomes the Magician. Continue Reading

The Fool Emerald Tolemac

The Fool reminds us that while going with our intuition may seem foolish, especially to others, when we do so, we are supported by spirit. While spirit is unseen, it does manifest itself in the world around us. When we recognise that spirit is leading us, it makes itself more available to us. Furthermore, the message of this card is that only when we journey with purity and steadfast faith toward the promptings of spirit, can we hope to achieve the great destiny meant for us. We can’t hope to bring to fruition a successful outcome for the challenge that we are facing without that purity and faith. In a Tarot spread, The Fool reminds us of these things. Continue Reading
